How to apply
1. Fill out the application form

Get started by applying for the discount. Fill out this application form when you are ready to apply and we'll get back to you within 1 business day.

For U.S. organizations: please attach your most up to date letter from the IRS showing your 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or equivalent documentation.

For organizations outside of the U.S.: attach the appropriate certification letter from your governing body.
2. Check your email

Once we've reviewed your application and accompanying documentation, we'll get back to you quickly to let you know if you've been approved. We usually respond within 1 business day of your application.

If you haven't heard from us within 1 business day, or if you have any questions about this process, please send us an email at support@spreadsheet.com.
3. Purchase a subscription

Navigate to the Billing Plan page for your workspace to purchase a subscription. If your workspace is currently on the Spreadsheet.com Free plan or a trial of the Premium plan, you will now see "Non-profit" next to your subscription plan options, showing a 50% discount on monthly and annual pricing options for Standard and Premium plans.

Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible?
Spreadsheet.com offers a 50% discount on paid plans for organizations that hold a valid charitable status with either the IRS in the United States (501(c)3) or via similar governmental departments in other countries. For example:
Canada: Registered Charity or Non-Profit Organization documentation

United Kingdom: Charity Commission for England and Wales documentation or a link to your charity’s current registration status at www.gov.uk/charity-commissions

Israel: Registered Non-Profit Organization documentation (“Amuta reshuma” certificate)

Australia: Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission documentation
Who is not eligible?
A creator, also known as a "licensed user," is any user who has the Owner, Manager, or Collaborator permission level in one or more folders or workbooks within your workspace. Creators are the only users who can create folders and workbooks in that workspace. Spreadsheet.com paid plans only count creators when determining how many users to bill for in a workspace.
Religious organizations without a secular community designation. To have a secular designation, an organization must provide services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and must not propagate a belief in a specific faith.

Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.

Inpatient care facilities.

Economic Development organizations, such as Chambers of Commerce (excluding foundations), Business Improvement Districts, and local and regional economic development organizations with a primary focus on commercial business development.

Government-managed/owned nonprofits, such as nonprofits funded by local, state or federal government that function without an independent board of directors, or are managed by a government agency.

Trade or business associations.- Sports, athletic, recreational, and social activities, except for community centers and community recreational facilities.

Fraternal beneficiary societies, orders, or associations; providers of other services or benefits to members or employees.

Legislative and political activity organizations.- Educational organizations such as a school, college, university, or a related organization. (Note that educational organizations may be eligible for our Spreadsheet.com education discount.)
How long does the discount last?
Your nonprofit discount lasts forever unless you choose to leave Spreadsheet.com.
Can I downgrade to the Free plan?
Yes. If you choose to downgrade from a paid plan to our free plan, you will receive a prorated credit equal to the amount of unused days remaining in your subscription period.
How do I cancel my Spreadsheet.com subscription?
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time by downgrading to our free plan.
